Bathrooms and Kitchens are the most
frequently used rooms in most houses. If your kitchen is not well
designed, or outdated, or if your appliances are not working well,
you probably would not get inspired to cook in it, and instead opt
to either go or order out. If your bathroom is in disrepair, you are
not going to enjoy relaxing in a soaking tub or taking a long
shower.
Kitchens and Bathrooms are also the
most challenging and expensive to build or remodel per sq. ft. The
reason for this is that these rooms are filled with appliances,
fixtures, faucets, valves, cabinetry, countertops, sinks, fans,
lighting, etc. They also have to withstand the punishing action of
water, steam, vapors, spills, and frequent traffic.
There are many new products that are
available now on the market for your bathroom or kitchen renovations
that would make them "greener":
Radiating floor warmers,
water-saving toilets and faucets, bamboo, cork, or re-claimed wood
flooring, countertop manufactured out of recycled materials,
energy-efficient appliances and lighting are among many others.
